Could this be the all-new Suzuki Celerio?
The current Celerio is already six years old, but it seems Suzuki is getting ready to launch the all-new version
Suzuki has been on a roll for the past couple of years. Not only do they have several refreshed models, but they also have a slew of all-new offerings.
There is one car that hasn't been getting much attention: the Celerio.
The current Celerio is already six years old, making it one of the more "senior" models in its segment. That's about to change as it seems Suzuki is ready to roll out the all-new version as shown by these patent images. And yes, it does look like a next-generation Celerio.

If these photos confirm the look of the upcoming Celerio, these patent images give us a good idea of what it will look like on the road. Offhand, it seems the next-gen Celerio will be borrowing some cues from the S-Presso.
The patent image shows a flatter front end with bug-eye headlights and a slim grille. Its hood is also noticeably longer than its predecessor. From the side, it seems that Suzuki stretched its wheelbase and its overall length. As for the rear, it keeps the recognizable high tailgate look with large taillights flanking its corners.

Various reports mention that the Celerio will have two engines available upon launch. The first is a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder unit with 67 PS and 90 Nm of torque. If those figures sound familiar, that's because it's the current engine that is also found in the S-Presso. The second engine is a 1.2-liter, four-cylinder that's good for 83 PS and 113 Nm of torque. This mill is also the same one used in the Dzire and Swift.
Given that Suzuki Philippines offers the Celerio here, there is a good chance that this model will arrive in the country. However, the S-Presso already slots below the Celerio as the marque's lowest-priced model. With that, the next-gen version may move upmarket with a 1.2-liter engine.
